Whether you're scanning a QR code to visit a website, viewing an online product, or participating in a survey, QR codes connect people in the physical world to unique digital destinations. Although QR code technology has been around for decades, it's only in the past five years that the technology has truly advanced, with Flowcode leading the innovation.

If you're reading this article, it's likely because you're a Flowcode customer, having crafted unique QR codes to align with your brand. The platform you've been utilizing is Flowcode 1.

Launched in 2019, Flowcode 1 has evolved into the most powerful QR code generator on the market. With enhancements in code customization and robust analytics, the Flowcode 1 platform has seen nearly five years of continuous improvements.

Now, the evolution continues. Today, we're excited to introduce you to Flowcode 2.

What is Flowcode 2?

Flowcode 2 is an enterprise conversion platform.

Conversion platforms are designed to facilitate and optimize the process of converting potential customers into actual customers. A "conversion" can signify various actions, such as submitting an email on a form, making an online purchase, or completing a survey. With Flowcode 2, every conversion journey begins with the scan of a QR code

Brands using QR codes in the real world now have the ability to track, measure, and analyze conversions they are receiving from their offline campaigns. Flowcode 2 is doing what no other QR code platform has done — showing the full lifecycle of a customer action. From initial scan, all the way to final conversion.

The platform is a scaled, integrated, analytics-first conversion platform designed for enterprises and focused on creating valuable transactions.

How is this different from Flowcode 1?

Flowcode 1 is a connections platform. Flowcode 2 is a conversion platform.

Let’s break that down through the lens of QR code technology:

Connections: Refer to the process of linking someone who scans a QR code from a physical location to an online destination.

Conversions: The act of measuring an action someone has taken after scanning a QR code.

Both sound similar, the critical distinction lies in the ability to "measure." Traditional QR code platforms only let you count the amount of connections you’re getting from your codes. However, with Flowcode 2 you measure every interaction and conversion.

Now, let’s dig deeper on the difference through a use case:

Scenario: Consider a real estate agent who creates a Flowcode QR code for a new house on the market, placing the code on a lawn sign. This QR code directs scanners to a form where prospective buyers can register for an open house.

With Flowcode 1, the focus is on connections:

  • You will be able to see every time someone scans the lawn sign, and view the total amount of scans. You have created a frictionless way for people to view online information. Yet, determining whether the scan led to a prospective buyer filling out the open house form proves challenging.

With Flowcode 2, the emphasis shift to measuring conversions.

  • Not only can you monitor every scan and the aggregate scans, but Flowcode 2's analytics platform also reveals the subsequent actions of the scanners. Did they visit the open house form? Did they complete it? Offering a detailed transaction history for every scan, Flowcode 2 presents a more nuanced and granular insight into your QR code's effectiveness.

Key features and enhancements of Flowcode 2

With Flowcode 2, we have taken the leap from enabling connections to driving conversions. With that progression comes new features and enhancements. Discover some key enhancements below:
