How to use FlowID data for marketing campaigns

Enhance your marketing retargeting efforts with FlowID data.

Updated over a week ago

When a person scans a QR code in the real world and submits information such as an email address through an online experience like a landing page, you collect a 'FlowID'. This represents a consumer's identity.

The information on your customer is collected and stored in an activity log that showcases their history of interactions. The granular view of every interaction a single customer has taken can be better understood in the overview piece of FlowID.

To see a high-level view of all the customers who have scanned QR codes in a specific Workspace, and to retarget them for marketing campaigns, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to your Audience dashboard

Navigate to a Workspace and select the 'Audience' tab on the left hand side navigation of your screen. Here, you'll see who has engaged with your QR code campaigns.

Step 2: View your audience

In the Audience dashboard you'll see the total number of contacts you have collected with your various Conversion Flows.

On the right side of your screen, you can see the breakdown of contact IDs you have collected:

Your audience is broken into 'Known' and 'Anonymous' contacts:

  • Known contacts are people who have provided an email address when converting on a Flowcode form.

  • Anonymous contacts have engaged with your QR codes, but have not submitted or converted with an email address on a Flowcode form.

Step 3: Filter your audience by engagement type

There are two ways for you to filter your audience engagement data.

Option 1 —

Beneath the Audience ID chart, you'll see another chart that lets you view a variety of engagement levels.

Your audience engagement is broken into three different types:

  1. Champions - Highly engaged users that interact and convert frequently.

  2. Enthusiasts - Repeat users that engage with multiple experiences.

  3. Window shoppers - Users that occasionally interact with experiences.

Click any option and your Audience dashboard will populate with the specific user segment.

Option 2 —

For more breakdowns of your audience engagement history, select the 'Filters' button on the top of your Audience dashboard.

Next, the filtering menu will drop down and you can curate an even more detailed view of a specific audience segment, including:

  • Past interactions - Choose from the actions a customer took on your page, the type of conversion, and which Conversion Flow it occurred on.

  • Level of engagement - Another way to filter for your Champions, Enthusiasts, or Window shoppers.

  • Geography - Where the conversion took place.

Step 4: Export the data

After creating your segment, export the data by selecting the 'Export' button in the top right had side of your screen.

Data will be downloaded into a .CSV format. Now, you can upload the customers into your tool of choice, and retarget them with custom campaigns based on their engagement level.
