Creating properties for your Conversion Flows

Get deeper insights into customer journeys.

Updated over 6 months ago

Properties are unique identifiers used within the Flowcode platform to securely manage and transmit user data. They allow you to track customer behavior and interactions securely, enabling you to make data-driven decisions without compromising user privacy.

Integrating properties with your analytics and CRM systems can provide deeper insights into customer journeys, improving your marketing strategies and customer engagement efforts.

Follow these steps to add them to your Conversion Flows:

Step 1:

Navigate to a Workspace and select the 'Flows' tab on the left hand side navigation of your screen.

Note πŸ“: If you have not made a Conversion Flow, you will need to complete this step before creating properties.

Step 2:

You’ll be taken to our Conversion Flow dashboard. Here, you will have the option to choose from the different campaigns you have built. Select the one you would like to add properties to.

Step 3:

After selecting, you'll be brought to an overview page. Select the 'Edit flow' button on the right hand side of your screen.

Step 4:

Select 'Data properties'

Step 5:

Select 'Add new property' in the module that pops up.

Step 6:

Edit the field title so you can track your campaign.

Step 7:

Add text to the 'Property key' input. This should be representative of the title. Use lowercase and if you are using more than one word, use underscores instead of a space. Once complete, click 'Create', and save your progress.

Note πŸ“: To add more than one property, click on 'Add data property' and repeat the steps above.

Next, we'll add the property to the QR code in your Conversion Flow

Step 8:

Now that you're back in the Flow editor screen, select the 'Add code' button.

Step 9:

Name your code, and add text to the property. Then, click 'Save'

In the example below, the first property represents a state. The state property will be called when a user scans the QR code it is added to, and lands on a landing page or a form. If users have scanned the Florida - Tampa code, the text 'Florida' will appear wherever the property is requested.

Next, instead of manually creating a Conversion Flow with unique content for each individual landing page, let property tags do the work for you. Associate each QR code in your Conversion Flow with information like the Location or the Name it will be used for. Then, apply that property in your form and watch the Name and Location information populate based on the QR code that was scanned.

Step 10:

Back in the Flow editor, select on the 'Form' tab on the left hand side of the screen.

Step 11:

Search for your properties by typing the first letter of the name you gave it into any input in the editor. This includes the 'Header' and 'Text' field.

Step 12:

Once the form is complete, click 'Save'. You will be able to see the functionality by exiting the flow. Select from the dropdown to see the content in each form.

You're good to go. You can now view the personalized text in your form. If you have questions, please email [email protected]
