How to send scanners directly to a website

Link QR codes to your own websites and content, and access flexibility to direct traffic outside of the Flowcode ecosystem.

Updated over a week ago

If you want to send people who scan your Flowcode QR codes directly to a website URL, you can select this option when you’re creating a Conversion Flow.

This is a good approach to take when you are looking for a fast way to send scanners to your website, or other online pages. In this article we will take you through the steps to get this set up, and show you how to add UTM tracking parameters.

Step 1:

Click 'Create' on the top right hand side of your navigation.

Step 2:

You will see an option to 'Scan to URL'. Select this option.

Step 3:

Name your campaign in the top left hand corner.

Step 4:

This will open up the Flow editor. Select an existing brand kit template, or start from scratch.

Step 5:

Set up your code how you'd like on the 'Codes' section.

Step 6:

Navigate to the 'Scan destination' section on the left navigation to edit the destination where you will send users.

Step 7 (Optional):

Enable UTM parameters. Add details about your campaign, source, medium, term, and content.

What are UTMs? 💡 UTMs are parameters added to URLs to track the effectiveness of online marketing campaigns by identifying the source, medium, and campaign name associated with website traffic. Read more here.

Step 8:

Select 'Save and Exit'. You can repeat this process and make more codes under this campaign.
