Glossary

  • Short URL: A condensed URL that redirects to a longer destination URL

  • Custom Domain: A personalized web address that includes your brand name (e.g., yourbusiness.com)

  • Slug: The unique string after the domain in a short URL (e.g., "mylink" in yourbusiness.com/r/mylink)

What is the benefit of using a customized Short URL?

Customized short URLs empower you to strengthen your brand identity and create a more professional online presence by using your own domain and custom slugs, making your links instantly recognizable and trustworthy. And while QR codes excel for quick scans, short URLs offer unparalleled versatility, allowing you to seamlessly share your branded links across any digital platform – from messages and emails to online campaigns – reaching your audience wherever they are.

How to set up a customized Short URL:

  1. Enable custom domain selection during Flow creation

2. Add a Short URL entry point and set a custom slug for your Short URL

The slug must be under 80 characters

If a slug is not unique, you will see an error message

3. Once created, a short URL with a custom slug cannot be edited, only deleted and recreated as new

If a user tries to change the custom domain from their Flow settings, they will see a warning message alerting them that existing Flowcodes or Short URLs will no longer function as expected
