How to Create a Conversion Flow for Contact Forms

Capture valuable user information such as names, emails, and other contact details.

Updated over 2 months ago

Conversion flows are a core feature of the Flowcode platform, bridging the gap between offline interactions and online conversions. For a contact form flow, the goal is to capture valuable user information such as names, emails, and other contact details, which can then be used for lead nurturing, customer follow-ups, or service inquiries. This process involves combining two main components:

  1. A QR code (or multiple QR codes)

  2. A mobile-optimized landing page with a contact form

By combining these elements, users can scan a QR code and be directed to a contact form where they can easily submit their details. Here's how to create a conversion flow for contact forms:

Step 1: Start Creating Your Flow

  • Click Create from the top navigation menu or select from one of the recommended actions on the home screen.

Step 2: Select a Template + Brand Kit

  • Choose the correct template you are looking for. For ‘Contact Collection Form’ you have a few options:

    • Contact Form

    • Contact Form to URL

    • Event Registration

    • Feedback

    • Sweepstakes

  • Choose a brand kit to ensure the form and landing page align with your company's branding, including fonts, colors, and logos.

Step 3: Enter the Flow Editor

  • Once in the flow editor, you’ll see three key areas:

    • The left navigation displays different sections based on the template you’ve chosen.

    • The center area allows you to input or modify your contact form’s content.

    • The right bar shows a preview of the contact form as you build it.

Step 4: Name Your Flow

  • Give your conversion flow a relevant name, such as "Contact Form for Lead Generation" or something that aligns with your campaign’s goals.

Step 5: Customize the Contact Form

  • Depending on the template selected, you’ll have a range of customization options in the left navigation:

    • Form fields: Add essential fields such as name, email, phone number, and any other relevant details you wish to collect.

    • Call to Action: Customize the submit button (e.g., “Get in Touch” or “Submit Inquiry”).

    • Thank You Page: Design the message or page users will see after submitting the form, or choose to redirect them to another URL.

Ensure each section is properly configured and save your changes as you progress through each step.

Step 6: Finalize Your Contact Form Flow

  • Once you’re satisfied with the setup, save your work and exit the flow editor.

Step 7: Deploy and Monitor

  • Your contact form flow is now live! Users who scan your QR code will be directed to your mobile-optimized contact form, where they can easily provide their details.

If you need to make adjustments in the future, simply click the “Edit flow” button from your flow details page to make changes.

By following these steps, you’ll create an effective contact form conversion flow that seamlessly captures user information and drives online engagement from offline interactions.
