Conversion flows are a fundamental feature of the Flowcode platform, seamlessly linking offline interactions (via QR codes) to online destinations. For a URL Scan Destination flow, the objective is to direct users immediately to a specific URL after scanning a QR code, without any intermediate steps like forms. This flow is ideal for quickly guiding users to online content such as websites, product pages, or special promotions. The process involves combining two core components:
A QR code (or multiple QR codes)
A direct URL destination
By combining these elements, users can scan a QR code and be instantly directed to the URL of your choice. Here's how to create a conversion flow for a URL scan destination:
Step 1: Start Creating Your Flow
Click Create from the top navigation menu or select from one of the recommended actions on the home screen.
Step 2: Select a Template + Brand Kit
Choose the URL Scan Destination template from the available options.
Scan to URL
Landing page to URL
Select a brand kit to ensure the QR code aligns with your company’s branding, including fonts, colors, and logos.
Step 3: Enter the Flow Editor
Once in the flow editor, you'll interact with three key areas:
The left navigation displays different sections based on the template you’ve selected.
The center area allows you to input or modify the URL destination.
The right bar shows a preview of your flow, including how the QR code will appear.
Step 4: Name Your Flow
Give your conversion flow a relevant name, such as "URL to Product Page" or "QR Code to Special Offer," to easily identify it later.
Step 5: Customize the URL Destination Flow
In the left navigation, customize the following:
Target URL: Enter the URL where users will be directed after scanning the QR code (e.g., a website, product page, or special promotion).
Call to Action (CTA): Craft a clear message encouraging users to scan the QR code (e.g., "Scan to Shop Now" or "Scan for Exclusive Offer").
QR Code Design: Customize the QR code design using your brand kit, ensuring it reflects your brand’s look and feel.
Step 6: Finalize Your URL Scan Destination Flow
Once you’re satisfied with the setup, save your work and exit the flow editor.
Step 7: Deploy and Monitor
Your URL Scan Destination flow is now live! When users scan your QR code, they’ll be directed straight to the URL you specified.
If you need to update the URL or adjust the flow, simply click the “Edit flow” button from the flow details page to make changes.
By following these steps, you’ll create an effective URL Scan Destination conversion flow that seamlessly directs users from offline interactions to your online content, delivering a frictionless and immediate digital experience.
