How to transfer a Flowcode

There are two ways users can transfer their Flowcode.

Option 1: From the Flowcode dashboard

1. Navigate to the code you would like to transfer.

2. Click on the three vertical dots (kebab) all the way to the right of the code you'd like to transfer.

3. Click Transfer.

4. Fill in the email address of where you want to transfer your Flowcode (it must be associated with a Flowcode account), read and check the statement saying that you will lose access to the code, and click Transfer Code.

Option 2: From the Code Details page

1. Click on the code you want to transfer. This will bring you to the Code Details page.

2. Select the Settings tab.

3. Scroll down to the Transfer Ownership section and click Transfer.

4. Fill in the email address of where you want to transfer your Flowcode (it must be associated with a Flowcode account).

5. Read and check the statement saying that you will lose access to the code, and click Transfer Code.


Transfer FAQs

Can I transfer a code I made with another company to Flowcode?

No, you are not able to transfer a code made with another company to Flowcode.

There are two types of QR codes, static and dynamic. A static code is programmed to lead to one specific URL and the destination can never be updated. Contrastingly, all Flowcodes are dynamic, which means the destination can be updated as often as you'd like. This is because the URL linked to the code design is a redirect URL rather than the final intended scan destination, which is commonly a website or file.

We aren't able to migrate already existing QR codes as we don't own the unique URLs associated with other companies' QR code designs.

If I transfer a code to someone else, what happens to the already-existing analytics?

When transferring a code to another account, the code’s data will transfer with the code. You will no longer have access to that data, but the new owner will.
